Tableturners are a group of fellow Pilgrims from different Christian traditions. They utterly reject the blind worship of the false god of rampant free market capitalism and its religious apologists who propagate the so-called ‘prosperity gospel’ with its misguided belief that the pursuit of wealth sits easily with the Christian way. For Tableturners, the Gospel of Jesus Christ very clearly states the exact opposite.

Their activities today comprise of prayer, silence, reflection, lamentation & action. They seek to discern and bear witness to a Biblical response to the injustices in the global system: to the exploitation of the many by the few, to the scandal of the poor and starving supporting the “developed world” in harmful over consumption and to the degradation of the planet in pursuit of short term gain.
