AnarchoBabe says in one of her posts [no longer available..] that she likes mine, which is a real joy to read. Hers are really interesting too; unlike mine, they always talk about hard facts and happenings, rather than thoughts or useless rants like mine.

I think we can claim the dubious honour of being in the feminine minority in various Indymedia fora, including Indyblogs, and also to the minority of people who are not from USA, and of the people whose first language is not English but live in an English speaking country.

Having some one tell you that they appreciate what you do is something shamefully rare in certain circles, let alone saying they like it! It shouldn’t be. Having positive feedback is one thing to make you feel right about whatever volunteering you do, and feeling right is just about the only thing that would keep one doing it in exchange for nothing. Which may not so vital when it comes to a blog, but it is essential when it comes to a project like indymedia – or else the project depends solely on the recruitment of new people, since it is a need for the old to move away from a project or group that gives them nothing in terms of personal warmth or positive feedback.

Or maybe this is just my latin-blooded impression of an anglo-saxon atmosphere. Worse still, it could be a too feminine vision of a male-dominated atmosphere!

Just one more of my useless rants.
